The Road To Italy

The name "VIA" is Italian for "the way" or "street." Robb and Madeleine Ahlquist named their new restaurant VIA, because they want to show diners "another way" to experience Italian dining.

VIA is also representative of Shrewsbury Street, which has become as much a part of dining for the Worcester area as the north end is for Boston and Federal Hill is for Providence.

Pay a visit to VIA and you'll find Italian favorites such as Italian paella, Sicilian meatloaf, swordfish Milanese and gnocchi pie … the kind of food you would find in Italy. You'll also find an assortment of familiar foods, such as grilled pizzas and sandwiches made with fresh ingredients imported from Italy.

Like a traditional Italian restaurant, VIA is designed to be welcoming and comfortable. It even has an Italian table designed to seat more than a dozen diners, so you can eat with family and friends - or make new friends.
